Who Wouldn't Want to Be in the Big Brother House?

Thousands of people registered for BBA 8! That’s awesome, and…crazy, but I love it. Who wouldn't want to get into that show as it gains popularity and prominence year on year?

BBA 8 Participating Countries
So which countries are participating in the Big Brother Africa show 2013?
Well we have are the usual participants:
Angola
Botswana
Ghana
Kenya
Malawi
Namibia
Nigeria
Sierra Leone
South Africa
Tanzania
Uganda
Zambia
Zimbabwe

And there is also Ethiopia who is once again taking part after a one season hiatus. That’s great because they usually have interesting housemates. Remember Yacoub and Hanni?

It’s so good to have Sierra Leone participate again this year because many of us so loved their housemates - Zainab and Dalphin, but we shall surely miss Liberia this season 8. Luke and Yadel were great housemates, but they didn’t stay long enough for us to appreciate them the more.

House Layout and Décor for Season 8 of Big Brother Africa
Should we expect two separate houses once again this year?

Big Brother Stargame had house designs that were poles apart in terms of layout and decor. Upville for the stars, and Downville for the "commoners" who though had it rough in terms of space, gave us the entertainment we yearned for. To the hilt.

Though it seemed unfair to house the Downvilllers' in such cramped spaces, with interior décor that wasn't so great, what we ardent lovers of the Big Brother game knows is that "its all part of the game". Housemates can either enjoy it, or quit!

Just take a look at the glaring difference in their bedroom designs! Downville's bedroom surely looks like a dorm in comparison.

The stars on the other hand lived in dwellings fit for their position as stars in their own right, and though an interior designer would probably have designed the Upville "mansion" much more tastefully, with whatever the budget was, it wasn't too bad. Well, kind of.

As the opening night draws closer, we await patiently but earnestly.
And by the way, my favourite, Keagan from host country South Africa, won of course. I rooted for Zainab and Ola, but as events played out and they were gone before we knew what was happening, I got consolation in Keagan. He didn't disappoint me.
