BBNaija Season 3 - Double Wahala

It's the first day of a new season on Big Brother Naija, tagged "Double Wahala".

Walking into the Big Brother's house, you'll find it absolutely amazing. There is even a telephone in the house but we all know it won't be for calling family and loved ones. The booth still remains and so does the other zones and areas - lounge, dining area, kitchen, bedroom, and beautiful walk-in closet.

There is a lavish use of bold vibrant colours with a trendy blend of muted hues. Modern furniture and furnishings fill the spaces that flow beautifully into each other and there is a cosy niche, carved out as a special spot and set with a lone arm chair. This zone is for the head of house who traditionally possesses a privileged position, but this season, it comes with a difference.

Meet the New Housemates

All looking smart and radiant, the new BBNaija 3 contestants came onstage to meet the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. They came in groups of four.

The first contestants to come on stage are Nina, Vandora, K Brûlé, a football fan, and Teddy A, a father.

The next four contestants are Alex, Dee-one, Princess, and Miracle, a pilot who also works as a model in his free time.

Then came a group of four who all work in the media industry,  Ahneeka, BabBam from Ogun State, Ricco Swavey, and Bitto who wears a wedding ring but says he is not married.

Then the business-minded ones. They were young entrepreneurs, they were money makers - Ifu Enada, Leo the suave looking businessman, Khloe a fashion designer, and Angel a filmmaker and cinematographer.

The final four contestants of the reality show Season 3 are all intellectuals. They are Anto, Tobi, Cee-C, and Lola, an investment manager.

Before they all walked into the house, each one of them had to pick out a number from a Ninja’s bowl and were instructed to look for a bed that has each number. Only fourteen of them found their beds. The remaining six housemates who couldn't find beds that matched the numbers they held were asked to leave the house by Big brother. Is this twist number one? Of course, the others are baffled but some believe the six will be back.

This is getting interesting, especially as us viewers can see that they've been taken to a different space, a pleasantly coloured bedroom somewhere obviously cut off from the main house. The open space appears to be the arena of season 2.

On Wednesday, the housemates will pair up in the house. Paired up in twos, one will be a half of the other. So, if one-half of the pair gets rewarded, the other will, if one gets evicted, so does the other, and if one half of the pair gets punished, so will the other half. What a twist!
Big Brother certainly knows how to bring it on!

20 housemates, 85 days, 45 million naira cash and gifts, one winner takes all.
