How Vandora Got It All Wrong

Ex-BBNaija3 housemate Vandora’s claim that she got evicted from the Big Brother house because she refused to have a sexual relationship is so far from the truth, to state it lightly. If it’s a way to console herself for being evicted from the house, then it’s a shame.
Vandora

Big Brother series is not about sex as many of the uninformed think. It’s mainly about confining some individuals, male and female, within an enclave and watching how they interact, cope, and live together in harmony (or not) with each other.

It’s about the psychology of being in a mini world with its own form of government and structure and without any outside interaction except a man they can’t see and the Ninjas who are always disguised. All they get is a voice that is stern and authoritarian, a voice that starts every statement with “this is Big Brother”!.

The show is deeper than such frivolities. Of course, many don’t care to look at things objectively.

It is true that anything can happen in the Big Brother house and when nearly two dozen housemates are stuck with each other, relationships may evolve, romantic, platonic, or close-friend relationships.

Going back to Vandora, what she failed to realise is that if people don’t vote for you, also meaning if you don’t have enough fans, the votes that trickle in will be insufficient. And since she is paired up with Dee One who also may not have enough votes from us viewers, it’s out the door for them. The same applies to Bitto and Princess. The two pairs had the least votes. It had nothing to do with the absence of intimacy on their part.

Perhaps if she and her strategic partner weren’t put up for eviction with all the others housemates excluding Khloe, K Brûle, Leo, and Alex, she may have escaped the hammer. Nonetheless, Vandora was not popular enough to garner votes from the BBNaija 3 diehard fans and that’s the fact.

It is good for her to take her loss in good faith and remember that ‘Double Wahala’ is just the name of the game.

So, it’s just a game.

Ifu Ennada - A Bold and Daring BBNaija 3 Housemate

Many of you will agree with me that BBNaija3's housemate IfuEnnada is unique and quite different from the other female housemates. She has her own ways and style.

Ifu Ennada of BBNaija Season 3

I haven't decided yet who my top five contestants are because for some like me, it's a bit early. I usually study each housemate closely for about four weeks before I begin to make up my mind.

Her style is simple yet distinctive, call it daring and you won't be far off the mark. I think I like her and it appears I do, as the days in the Big Brother House progresses.

Cute, pretty, and petite, she is not one to be described as sweet. On the other hand, she depicts the tough, outspoken, and worldly woman. But one thing is for sure, her cool but tough mien speaks volumes about her character.

Saturday's party of the 17th, and it's five minutes for housemates to move to The Party Zone. Ifu Ennada struts out in a beautiful African print dress, wearing a truly vintage African hairdo that I only see in Nollywood movies.

Most of the others just don wigs. Nice, but typical hairdos.

I think I'll like Ifu to end up in the top five of BBNaija 3 Double Wahala.

Cee C - Will She Be Bad News for Tobi?

Watching each housemate of the Big Brother Naija House, it is amazing how different each contestant is, from the others.

It took me nearly three weeks to finally come to the conclusion that one of the not-so-well-liked contestants, Cee C, is not quite friendly, somewhat rude and kind of standoffish.

Yes, it took some like me a while to finally come to this conclusion and perhaps it is because that the day Cee C walked into the room, I kind of liked her poise, comportment, and the way she appeared to ooze confidence. Well, I don't expect less from a lawyer.

However, after seeing the way she tosses Tobi's (her paired partner) emotions up and down, making him appear to cringe and beg her all the time,  her bold unapologetic arrogance, and the way she treats some of her fellow housemates with utter disdan, she is highly disappointing.

Many of us just like me really fear for Tobi. Not in terms of danger, but remember, if for any reason (and its not hard to find some) voting viewers get further irritated and displeased with BBNaija3's Cee C and decides that she must leave the house if she comes up for nominations, Tobi will go down with her and that will be too bad for him.

As at now, she has 'dragged' Lolu into some muddle, unintentionally, but nevertheless causing him bodily harm and if Big Brother decides to weild the big stick, she will not only drag Lolu down, she will also drag down Anto too, Lolu's paired partner.

In other words, she is begining to appear like bad news for these three housemates.

What is your view on this?

BBNaija Season 3 - Double Wahala

It's the first day of a new season on Big Brother Naija, tagged "Double Wahala".

Walking into the Big Brother's house, you'll find it absolutely amazing. There is even a telephone in the house but we all know it won't be for calling family and loved ones. The booth still remains and so does the other zones and areas - lounge, dining area, kitchen, bedroom, and beautiful walk-in closet.

There is a lavish use of bold vibrant colours with a trendy blend of muted hues. Modern furniture and furnishings fill the spaces that flow beautifully into each other and there is a cosy niche, carved out as a special spot and set with a lone arm chair. This zone is for the head of house who traditionally possesses a privileged position, but this season, it comes with a difference.

Meet the New Housemates

All looking smart and radiant, the new BBNaija 3 contestants came onstage to meet the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. They came in groups of four.

The first contestants to come on stage are Nina, Vandora, K Brûlé, a football fan, and Teddy A, a father.

The next four contestants are Alex, Dee-one, Princess, and Miracle, a pilot who also works as a model in his free time.

Then came a group of four who all work in the media industry,  Ahneeka, BabBam from Ogun State, Ricco Swavey, and Bitto who wears a wedding ring but says he is not married.

Then the business-minded ones. They were young entrepreneurs, they were money makers - Ifu Enada, Leo the suave looking businessman, Khloe a fashion designer, and Angel a filmmaker and cinematographer.

The final four contestants of the reality show Season 3 are all intellectuals. They are Anto, Tobi, Cee-C, and Lola, an investment manager.

Before they all walked into the house, each one of them had to pick out a number from a Ninja’s bowl and were instructed to look for a bed that has each number. Only fourteen of them found their beds. The remaining six housemates who couldn't find beds that matched the numbers they held were asked to leave the house by Big brother. Is this twist number one? Of course, the others are baffled but some believe the six will be back.

This is getting interesting, especially as us viewers can see that they've been taken to a different space, a pleasantly coloured bedroom somewhere obviously cut off from the main house. The open space appears to be the arena of season 2.

On Wednesday, the housemates will pair up in the house. Paired up in twos, one will be a half of the other. So, if one-half of the pair gets rewarded, the other will, if one gets evicted, so does the other, and if one half of the pair gets punished, so will the other half. What a twist!
Big Brother certainly knows how to bring it on!

20 housemates, 85 days, 45 million naira cash and gifts, one winner takes all.
